Mission

Our mission is to provide childcare that is flexible to the needs of busy working families and catered to the child’s needs as decided by parents who know their child best.

Vision

The vision we have for our childcare is two fold and rooted in both the present and the future. For the present, our goal is for parents to feel good about their childcare choice, knowing that their childcare are safe, engaged, educated, and smiling. And, for the future, we want these children to look back at their experience with us and see it as a cherished part of their childhood.

Philosophy

It is important that children feel that they are a welcome part of not only their own family unit, but also their extended families such as friends, school, daycare, church, ect. Today, a child’s family may take on many forms, all of which are of equal importance to the child.

I believe that family childcare is an important extension of you and your child’s family. As your child becomes involved in the daily routines, they will see the connections between home and family childcare in a friend.
We believe in :
Providing a healthy, safe, and stimulating environment for all children
All staff have respect and understanding for each child’s individual uniqueness. Providing a strong foundation for lifelong  learning, positive behavior and good health
Being knowledgeable in child development in order to provide appropriate learning experiences for all children. Believing that all children are capable of exploring their surroundings and learning new things when they are interested and when guided by a committed and engaged teacher that offers interesting and relevant activities. Promoting socialization and compassion for others Providing support through professional resources outside the childcare in order to meet specific individual needs We offer childcare 7 days a week for working families. Drop in care is provided if space is available Monday- Friday with a max of 4 hours  We are an equal opportunity provider. Our History

Established in 2012, Mrs. Tamaya’s Childcare has been serving families in America and Germany.  We are dedicated to fostering early development, building self-esteem, and exploring imagination in a safe, caring and nurturing environment.

Meet The Owner

Tamaya Edwards

Mrs. Tamaya’s ChildCare is licensed by the State of Washington, Department of Early learning. I am licensed to care for up to 12 children at a time, we are inspected regularly to ensure that I meet licensing standers.

We are required to maintain a current, accurate written record of daily attendance for all the children in my care. Please assist me in meeting this requirement by signing your children in and out of the center on the Daily Attendance Record sheet.

Mrs. Tamaya’s ChildCare is licensed by the State of Washington, Department of Early learning. I am licensed to care for up to 12 children at a time, we are inspected regularly to ensure that I meet licensing standers.

Mrs. Tamaya’s ChildCare will provide care for children between the ages of 4 weeks and 12 years old. Childcare services are available without discrimination based on sex, race, color, creed, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, or ancestry.

Childcare service will be provided Monday through Friday. To guarantee placement for your child, I will need a copy of your child. I will need a copy of your weekly, Bi-Weekly, or monthly schedule. If your child(ren) is here full time, you will be paying for the slot. Meaning even if your child is not in attendance, you will be paying for the full time slot. For hourly care (24 hours or less) you will only pay for the hours your child will be attending childcare. The hourly childcare option is only available for special circumstances.

Parents are welcome to visit Mrs. Tamaya’s ChildCare anytime during operation hours unless parental access is prohibited or restricted by a court order. If an order has been placed on a parent and/ or guardian of the child(ren) Mrs. Tamaya’s ChildCare will need a copy of court documents explaining the limited access or restricted access to child(ren). 

Children will only be released to the care of listed parents, guardians, and emergency contacts. If anyone other than the individuals listed on this contact, I will need to be notified in advance. This individual MUST have a valid license or picture Identification upon arrival, or the child(ren) will not be released into their care.

We encourage you to drop by and acquaint yourselves with our cozy haven. Our friendly staff can’t wait to meet you and share in the excitement of getting to know your family. Building these connections from the start is pivotal in ensuring a seamless transition from your care to ours during drop-off.
